2009 Aussie Millions

Two winners have so far been crowned in the 2009 Aussie Millions. Total is now 16 events, including Aussie Millions Main Event, and the prestigious High Stakes-event with a buy at AU $ 100 500.

Last week, started this year's Aussie Millions. Tournament series kicked on Friday started with an opening event that a purchase of AU $ 1 100 offered a guaranteed prize pool of at least AU $ 500 000.

731 participants came to the start of this tournament and the winner was finally Christian Heich thus collected AU $ 150 000.

Next out was Event # 2 played on PokerPro's electronic poker table. The purchase was AU $ 1 050 and a total of 83 players came to compete. First-price of AU $ 25 000 went to Mitchell Carle from Australia.

A variety of events will now be settled before it is time for the Aussie Millions Main Event, which starts on 18 th January.

Meanwhile, among other things, playing a high stakes tournament, which will have a purchase to the entire AU $ 100 500. Title defenders from last year, Howard Lederer who won AU $ 1.25 million.

This year's Main Event will, as usual, have a purchase on the AU $ 10 500 and among the previous winners, we find Alexander Kostritsyn, Gus Hansen and Lee Nelson.
